Made to imitate a quilt, matelasse is created when two pieces of fabric are woven together to create a cushioned feel without the filler. With a tactile hand and supple drape, use it to sew wrap skirts, aprons, square-neck dresses, and short and shirt sets. Opaque, a lining is not necessary in most applications.
